We provide a compassionate environment for those seeking help and support

Women's Counselling

The Domestic Violence Counselling Service provides free, confidential support for women who are currently experiencing — or have previously experienced — domestic and family violence.

Living in an abusive relationship can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, anxious, and trapped. It may affect your self-esteem and sense of control. These feelings can be overwhelming and difficult to manage alone.

Our counsellors offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and begin to heal. Through trauma-informed, compassionate care, we support you to process your experiences, rebuild self-worth, and develop practical strategies for moving forward.

You don’t have to face this alone — help is available.

Children's Counselling

Our counselling service offers a safe and compassionate environment for children who have experienced domestic and family violence.

We provide specialised support to help children process their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Our trained children’s counsellor works individually with each child to restore their sense of safety, self-worth, and confidence.

Using a trauma-informed approach, we ensure children feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Our therapy sessions integrate both play and talk therapy. Play therapy is especially effective for children who may find it difficult to express their feelings with words. Through activities such as drawing, storytelling, and imaginative play, children can safely explore and make sense of their experiences.

While play therapy is typically used with children aged 2 to 12, older children can also benefit through more structured and age-appropriate approaches that encourage verbal expression and engagement.
